Reveal Cake What is a Reveal Cake you ask... Well, that's a great question.
When I found out my friend Jamie was having another baby, I knew I had to do a reveal cake for her. I tried to get her to give me the gender results in an envelope and find out with her family after cutting into the cake whether she was having a baby boy or girl, but she wasn't having that. So we did the cake as a way to tell her family and friends. Having the cake look like the front of a pregnant woman was an added bonus.

They let Mimi have the honors

I love that they couldn't wait on a piece of cake. Instead they cheated by looking at the crumbs. Oh well, I don't blame them. I would have too! I love the expression of her brother's girlfriend in the background. IT'S A GIRL!!! In side of the belly (vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream) The chest was the Triple D
Jamie, thank you for letting me be a part of such a special event in your life! I can't wait to meet your baby GIRL!!!!

Matt & Trish are Married!!!
The day finally came for my brother-in-law to get married! We couldn't be more excited for Trish to (finally) be an official part of our family. When Trish and I were discussing their cake design I knew it had to reflect her style, simple yet elegant. I loved the way it turned out! Congratulations you two! We couldn't be more happy for you and we look forward to many years of fun memories!
The cake was covered in ivory fondant. The bottom and top layers were vanilla cake with vanilla bean buttercream filling (the bride LOVES vanilla) and the middle layer is chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and mocha buttercream filling (also known as the Triple D cake).
The Beautiful Bride!
Yes, I know there isn't a cake in this picture but my beautiful sister-in-law is and look at her bouquet! I also needed to advertise our wonderful cousin's flower design talents. They were some of the most beautiful flower arrangements I have seen. If you are in need of flowers for your special event please contact: Lori@wildflower-creative.com
Matt & Trish, thank you for allowing me to be apart of your special day. It was wonderful!

30th
The main reason I started doing cakes was to be able to give my friends and family a special gift. When my best friend Emily turned 30, I knew I had to do a cake that was Emily worthy. She is such a smart, pretty, strong woman and she holds such a special place in my heart! So when I was thinking of designs for her cake one word kept coming to mind...
GLAMOUR!
I LOVE to put not edible items on cakes.
Isn't she so pretty! Happy 30th Em
I hope everything was as special as you are!!
The bottom tier is Chocolate cake with a whipped peanut butter filling
Top tier is lemon cake with raspberry and whipped lemon filling.

Happy 2nd Birthday Avni!!
Avni has to be one of the cutest little girls ever. It was a joy to be able to create a Dora & Boots cake for her. I am looking forward to working with this family more!
I LOVE Boots! He was my favorite to make.
Plus, anyone that can pull off red boots has a special place in my heart.
Alexis!!
Our beautiful goddaughter turned one this summer. We were so fortunate to celebrate with her since she lives with her Mommy and Daddy in Japan (dad flies F-18's) When we found out their travel plans had been finalized I have to admit the cake idea's were flying around in my head. I knew what ever I was going to create, would be fun to do. However, it had to with stand a three hour car ride (with my husband driving). Luckily it made it with very little damage and we had a wonderful first birthday with Alexis!!

Now, I have to admit when we got to our destination I put Alisa & her mom, Karen to work making little creatures for the cake.
They made the crab, starfish, octopus, & sponges. Didn't they do a great job.
Thank you so much for letting us share her special day with you. We are so blessed to have you as a part of our lives. We love and miss you guys so much!!!

Hudson is 2!!
I LOVE this family. Hudson's mommy Leah and I worked together in College. She and I became reacquainted when I showed up in her Pilate's class (she is an amazing instructor!!) four months pregnant and then found out that she was due with her first baby about 6 weeks after me. Well, mister Hudson had a different plan and was born exactly one month before my son and was only 2lbs.
Today he is a wonderful happy healthy busy 2yr old.
And boy does he love tools. So what do you make a special little 2yr old? A tool box cake!
I can't wait to make his sister's cake!

Hello, Frosted Friends!! Long time no see!
I cannot believe it has been almost two months since my last post. That just reminds me how busy we have been. Between cakes and our family life, phew.. I am starting to be able to breathe again. I am going to get this blog updated with my latest work if it kills me. I am so blessed to have worked with some new and past clients. I love the people I work with. Thank you so much for challenging me with new fun creations.

Happy Birthday Kendall!
I love this family. This is the fourth "cake" I have done for this this year. They are such a wonderful family with beautiful & sweet children. When Kendall's mom called me to order her "cake" she said that Kendall wanted a "cake lady cake" but doesn't really like cake. However, she loves cookies & dogs. Combine the two and WHALA.. we have a dog cookie cake. I love this "cake". It was a blast to create & hopefully even more fun to eat.
The Dog HouseI don't know why, but I named the dog Lucy as I was creating her. I cannot wait to work with this family again. They present me such amazing ideas to create out of cake! Thank you for letting share in our special occasions! The cookie is chocolate chip with vanilla buttercream. Lucy is vanilla cake
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grayson is 1!!
Grayson's grandma called to have Elmo created for her grandson's birthday. I warned her that everyone including her grandson would have red icing everywhere, but it would make for wonderful pictures... So she was in =) She also gets the award for traveling the furthest for a Frosted Cake. Hope I get to work with her again!!
I was rushing to meet her and forgot to take some pictures before I left the house. So she allowed me to snap a few of the cake (that was in the trunk) before she headed on her two hour drive home.
Elmo, is Vanilla buttercream and Marble cake with cookies & cream filling.
Katie & Lance are Married!!
What a fun couple. They had so many fun ideas for their wedding. They just wanted their weekend to be about things they love. The rehearsal dinner started out with a grooms cake for lance. He loves the Eagles Greatest Hits album, SO I had to try my hand at an Eagles Cake.
Here is the Album Cover
The cake.
I have to say I was really excited with it!
This was a dark chocolate cake with ganache and mocha buttercream filling.
I also created favors for their guests.
Coconut cupcakes with key lime filling and presented in "take out" boxes
Finally, the Wedding cake... They had a small 35 person wedding. So I raised the top tier to make the cake appear larger. Yes, that is a ring sitting in rose. When lance proposed to Katie they were in the Caribbean. Well, on top of his fear of dropping it in the sand and never finding the ring again, Katie has ridiculously small fingers so he ordered the ring from Kohl's online for $5.99. They even made a joke about it on their invitations. So funny! She has a very beautiful ring now, but what fun story Katie & Lance thank you so much for letting me be apart of your wedding weekend. It was such a joy to work with the the two of you. Best of luck in your new journey together!!
